Well Folks, technically this is not the beginning of the journey.

I took a liking to photography ever since my dad let me tinker with his old school Canon before I hit double digits in age. He was the official photographer at my old church and his work decorated the lobby of the sanctuary. When realizing that I had an interest in pictures, my dad as well as my big brother, Austin, made sure that I was relatively well versed in some of the broader, basic concepts of photo, video, and audio.

Fast forward to Father's Day, 2010. I was 25 years old, had chosen teaching as one of my career paths, and yearned to figure this hobby of mine out. So I bought a cheap backdrop kit from eBay or Amazon and informed my family that we'd be taking pictures to commemorate the special day. We chose simple outfits and I went to town with my point and shoot camera in self-timer mode. Although there were quite a few things that could have been done to enhance the quality of these photos, my family enjoyed that day and I was gung-ho about the endless possibilities of the craft.

So close to ten years later, I have a finally decided to turn this passion of mine into something real. I'd love for you to follow me on this #snapphouse journey and discover how the tech seeds planted decades ago are sprouting into something beautiful.

God Bless,

-Meagan
